Everything you need to get game-day ready.

New to lacrosse or returning for another season? Find helpful information about equipment, player expectations, and supporting your athlete below.

PLAYER & FAMILY GUIDE

New to Lacrosse?

No experience? No problem! Our program welcomes girls in kindergarten through eighth grade, including first-time players.

We focus on building skills, confidence, friendships, and a love of the game. Bring a willingness to learn—we’ll help with the rest!

Equipment & What to Bring
Before purchasing equipment, contact the club to confirm what your player needs for her age group and activity.

Typical equipment includes:

  • Girls’ lacrosse stick

  • Lacrosse-specific protective goggles

  • Properly fitted mouthguard

  • Cleats or athletic shoes appropriate for the surface

  • Labeled water bottle

  • Comfortable athletic clothing and weather-appropriate layers

Please label all equipment and belongings. Need help choosing gear? Reach out before you shop!

Practice & Game Expectations

Come prepared, encourage your teammates, and be ready to learn!

  • Arrive on time with equipment ready.

  • Bring water and dress for the weather.

  • Notify your coach about absences or late arrivals.

  • Tell your coach if you are hurt or feel unwell.

  • Listen, give your best effort, and treat others with respect.

Families should communicate pickup arrangements and notify the coach if plans change.

Supporting Your Player

Celebrate effort, improvement, and teamwork. Mistakes are part of learning, and every player develops at her own pace.

On the sidelines, keep cheering positive, respect opponents and officials, and let coaches provide instructions.

After a practice or game, try asking: “What was your favorite part?”

Weather & Schedule Changes

Practices and games may be adjusted due to weather, field conditions, or other circumstances.

Check club communications before leaving for an activity, especially when weather is uncertain. Keep your contact information current so you receive important updates.

Safety & Player Well-Being

We want every player to feel safe, included, and supported.

Players should tell a coach immediately about injuries, illness, or unsafe situations. Families should share relevant medical needs privately with the club and keep emergency contact information current.

Report concerns about bullying, inappropriate behavior, or player safety promptly to a coach or club leader.

Getting Involved

Help us grow the game in our community! Families can support the club by volunteering, spreading the word, and encouraging new players to give lacrosse a try.

OUR CODE OF CONDUCT

Respect the game. Support each other.

Players, families, coaches, and spectators all help shape our club culture. We expect everyone to demonstrate sportsmanship, treat others with respect, and create a positive environment on the field, on the sidelines, and online.

Please review our full Code of Conduct before participating.
